Firefly was given the charge of rendering on the screen, the Melbourne Olympic race-track back from the era of 50s. Being a period documentary drama, capturing the exact mood and presentation of the people of the time, was the key to the realism. Blending a high-voltage live action sequence of the athlete running on the track with simulated crowd cheering and celebrating the game, as constant backdrop, presented with its own technical challenges. Further enriching action appeal, effects were added post-production to enhance emotions on the screen.
